hey,
I was on a public server earlier and was just wondering why nobody talks, is this a concentration thing or they just don't want to talk to a newcomer?

Most folks save thier "chit-chat" for the seconds between maps.

A quick "hello" or "N1" non-withstanding, i'm trying to win (or at least do well) before i try to have a conversation.

If you really want to have extended conversations with the players on the server, find out if the server has a forum associated with it...you'll usually find the "regulars" are members of that forum.;)

people hardly say anything other than "n1, gg, oh that was BS" anyways. Also, the time btw the map loads are so short that there's hardly anytime to type anything
