View Full Version : How to setup ded server in linux?

I already download the linux ded server and untar the file... so what
next to get it running? The readme don't help much. Is there any docs that can help me... or people...

one thing you will need is the ucc file. you can find this here (http://knoghall.no-ip.com/ut2003/ucc)
You should copy this to a file called ucc and put it in the base directory of your dedicated server. In other posts of mine you will see the command line start options to use to start a server as well as MANY other necessary items.
As for further info you can do a search on my screen name "drwhojm" and you'll see all the things I went though. Just look for posts that I started and you'll see many of the solutions I found from the very helpful people here.

thanks bro... but I still don't understand the .ini file.. there are couples of them. which one should I use to copy to my ut2003 root directory? Or can you share your myserver.ini?

it's not the "myserver.ini" you need to copy to the root directory... it's the ucc file that i linked to in my message that you need to put there... that is the file that will actually launch (and use your myserver.ini)... does that help?
