hey Pro....long time no see.....I was just wondering if you were able to make the changes to your demorecord?
Just to refresh your memories...

if you dont have the time then thats ok.....if you do then great....if you do i promise i wont bug ya about any additions into ut2vote.....1.7 is great by the way....love it...keeps getting better....

Hi Pax, eish sorry m8, I must admit I had forgotten all about it.
With the contest, getting UT2Vote17 out and now the pressure for the CTF-DUEL game +++ so things have been a little hetic.
I'll see if I can get something going.

thanks...no hurry for it....i know the game allready supports demorec but the mut makes it easier for automatic recording.....this way it can help me catch cheaters and what not......and it helps me learn from others on how to play.....i can learn from them by watching from their eyes and actions.....and the mut will make it easier to configure every thing....
so dont need to push for it...i was just wondering about it....

Hey Pax, just a thought.
You mention renaming demo files to remember them easlier.
Have you tried my DemoPlayer yet as that lists them all and moves them to a special folder etc and plays them.
I've had several requests to update this which I will be doing shortly.

ProAsm, the DemoPLayer I got from your site (the link you gave above) doesn't seem to do what the description says. It doesn't create a Demos folder, it can't move demos. It just has a "play" and a "quit" button. Is this by design or mistake?
I would really love a tool such as the one your page describes.

No i havent yet. Sounds great. But the file name format for the demorecord mut still makes it hard to figure out which file you would want to play. At one time i had like 20 demo files and i was searching for specific one to look for a cheater that some one complained about and it took me forever.....lol

TimeBased : same speed as on recording machine
NoFrameCap : no frames will get lost (afaik)
TimeDemo : fast as possible
Loop : endless loop
Rename : rename a file

Well Pro, if you ever decided to add on to your demorec Mutator I have a few ideas that you could use.
Have an option to only start recording after everyone has clicked in when “players must be ready” is enabled.
Have an in game menu where you can log in and enable/disable the record feature so you can enable it while you are waiting for everyone to click in. This way, people with private servers can enable it for matches or disable it for practices or messing around.
When you enable it in the in game menu, have a place to input clan tags for both teams and the date (if you can’t get that info from the server) so the demo can be formatted with the clan tags and date. (i.e. (08.21.03)-ABC_vs_XYZ-1.dem, (08.21.03)-ABC_vs_XYZ-2.dem))
And lastly you can have it disable itself when the server becomes empty if left enabled after a match.
I don’t know too many clans that wouldn’t run a mutator that did all this on their servers.

great program.....I dont know what Naked Ape is talking about...both 1.4 and 1.5 worked fine for me....now if we could just get the mut to record the names to how we could better recognize them and the both of them would be great together...

Ok - DemoRecord Version 2
I've added what I can and has not been properly tested so please report your bugs and findings here.
If we were to add a menu for configurations then it would have to become a Serverpackage and I dont really want that.

This Mutator is a ServerSide only Mutator so NO ServerPackages= is required.
?Mutator=DemoRecord.DemoRecord
Depending on the Options it will record a Serverside Demo on every level.
NB. The Demo will only start once the Game starts, so if you have PlayersMustBeReady set as True, recording will only start once everyone has clicked in Ready.
The DemoRecord.ini file Options
[DemoRecord.DemoRecord]
FileName=
If you want to use a specific Filename then add it in here else leave it blank.
bSetNums=True
If bSetNums=True then the first item in the Demo Title will be a number which increments with each recording.
bSetDate=True
If bSetDate=True the current Server Date will be added to the Title.
bSetTime=True
If bSetTime=True the current Server Time will be added to the Title.
bSetMapn=True
If bSetMapn=True the current MapName will be added to the Title.
bSetGame=True
If bSetGame=True the current GameClass will be added to the Title.
NumDemos=50
When this number of Demo's has been recorded - DemoRecord will disable itself.
NumDemos can be from 0 to 9999
If NumDemos=0 that means continious.
DemoDone=0
This is used internally by DemoRecord and reflects how many Demos it has done before it reaches NumDemos=50 (or whatever) before disabling itself.
Once DemoRecord has disabled itself and the Admin wants it restarted then he/she needs to reset DemoDone=0
If NumDemos=0 the DemoDone will not increment.
IncNumber=0
This is used internally and should not be touched as it records the Demo number if bSetNums=True
However if you have bSetNums=True and wish it to start again you can set it back to zero or whatever number (-1) you want it to start at.
Oh and btw - if players leave the server and when its empty, the Demo will stop recording.

If this is set to True then every Demo Title (filename) will be saved in the DemoRecord.ini file with the following Information:
The DemoTitle (filename)
What Players were playing during this demo.
What Custom ServerPackages and ServerActors were used for this Demo.
Example:

SWEET ProAsm....Thanks for the changes.....sorry to have bugged ya about it....i know your a busy MF'er.....(picking) I like using it to record all matches...i have a big enough hard drive to support all of them...lol....60gb and a 120gb....SWEET ....lol.....

yeah no prob....and another issue....not a bigger but here it is.....
i dont know how the mut works but even if all the players leave....the bots stay in some times.....untill the game finishes.....well it keeps recording as long as the bots are in the game....even if no real players are in.....sorta useless then....unless you get a fancy out of watching bots...

well bull crappy.....seems my log file got over written.....i must have restarted my server some time after that......oh well...if it happens again i will send it to ya...but it doesnt seem to be doing it today.....
