Custom skins

If I am using a custom skin loaded on my own system, will other players on online servers see this skin if they don't have it in their files, or will they see some kind of default skin for that mesh?

yup, ur right you can only see custom skins when you and ur oponent have the skin in their system.

mmm....thought so. Seems little point in custom skinning, other than for your own amusement.....

Unless your server admin wants to load the skin and then "push" it to all the people connecting to the servers, much like maps, etc..
