I have to turn off my Windows XP firewall in order to play UT through my LAN and online. Is there any way I can set up UT so I do not have to do this?? I keep getting those stupid pop-up messages, and they always interupt my play and override anything else that is running on my computer.

Please help??

Get Zonealarm. It's free, and does a good job.

I got ZA and had the same prob so what I did was start UT2003, go to settings, switch off full screen.

Then I went online, the zone alarm popup came up but I could see it cos the game was in a window, then I set the ZA option to remember that I said UT2003 can access the internet, end of problem.

After that I can run the game in full screen without problems.

But usually I close ZA before going online with UT2003 just so I can free up more ram. I also use CTRL-ALT-DEL and delete any other processes to make sure that there isn't anything that may be lurking.

You can keep the firewall turned on. Just set it to the default setting while your playing ut2003. If it is at custom setting you will get the popups becuase there are other users online with you. The firewall will think that an intruder is getting into your machine.
