Minigun question

Im not exactly a noob but im still relatively new to the game... and I was wondering what is the difference between the regular mini-gun firing mode and the alternate mode. They sound different but I dont know what the difference is. thanks

Minigun Primary - 15 rounds per seconds, wide spread, 6-7 damage per bullet.

Minigun Secondary - 5 rounds per seconds, medium accuracy, 16-17 ish damage per bullet.

You actually don't get splash damage, which seems weird because it looks like micro-rocket explosions... :bulb:

also, the mg is insta hit, the traces are not the actual bullets.
