View Full Version : Shots vanished!!!

Well I have a problem and it's really anoying me! Everytime I play online (Invasion with Excessive Mutator) my shots just vanished from my screen after I played 5 min. Now if you are in wave 15 it's not so fun with deamons bhind your back and everyone is depending on you! So I just wanted to know how I can solve this problem and can play normally.

O yeah before I forget; it usualy happens when the deamons are firing many rockets at me or when there are a lot of shots (bullets, rockets flashie thingies)

What sort of connection are you using? Also what netspeed?

All those rockets etc use up some of the netspeed.

I guess the game considers it more important to you, that you can see the projectiles coming at you than the ones you send out, so if all your netspeed is being used it will stop processing the outbound stuff over the inbound.

I used to be on 56k dialup and missing projectiles in just ordinary match play was quite common, I found by upping my netspeed just a little made a significant difference. I dunno if it will help a cable/ADSL player, maybe upping from 7.5k to 8k could be the difference that you need though

Well the problem is that I can't see both. I can't see the projectiles I lunch and the projectiles that are coming to me. Conection I have is Cable and the ping I had last whas around 150.

I'm going on vacation tommorow so it may be possible that I won't reply anymore for 3 weeks. So maybe it will be smart if I post this topic again in 3 weeks, oke?

sounds like not enough bandwidth for online play ... any packet loss?

(how much RAM is in that vid card?)

How can i check if I have package loss? Not with ping in msdos prompt right? I have 64 MB of 3D Card mem. If that is what you mean.

Sounds to me like your losing packets. Try turning some of your settings down this should help you tremendously.

Well that whas the first thing i did but it didn't help. I put every grapicel seting on low or verry low and turned of all internet aplications and it still happend...
