i really think you should play the single player ladder first to get a feel for the game. no need to rush things. i say this sincerely as possible. i am a UT veteran but when i came over to 2k3 i found out that there is a lot to learn. the single player ladder will teach you the basics.

however i DO suggest that you go to clan websites, get to know people, and play online, cos everything else you need to know about playing the game comes from playing with people with better skills than you. it's the best way to learn.

oki'll do that.the single player looks pretty fun anyway.but I was wonderin what difficulty should I set it on.I"M thinkin about puttin it on adept or skilled to begin with.

I agree with Mr Blaster here, although I wouldn't call us the Looney knights.

I would suggest playing against bots using Mysterial's Superbots AI... it's a much, much, much better sim of real life players.
