What is this, I know TNT2 card is low, but its played fine from the get go, so it can't be that..new one soon..getting a Geforce FX 5200, Ultra..no neg comments please, I am disabled its all I can afford..right now..
However actually I have had not a problem with TNT 2 card ...playing the game till now, which is since it came out...its been playing fine actually not a problem..
Installed 2225 patch when it first came out, been playing since then, daily.. fine...absolutely no problems have I had with this game..or patch..I really have been lucky with the game..Then out of the blue.. suddenly this..It does start up screen, then I click to play and this error message, appears..well I reinstalled, worked ok, with the first version..then tried the patch before 2225 same problem..did a clean install, and then did 2225 patch again, and now its playing...

As I said even with my TNT2 card..on Windows 98SE..639 MB RAM.. AMD 1.2 gig processor..SoundBlaster Live MP3 + sound card..even with details on normal, world on high, and higher resolution, I have played with no problems on this system..don't know why but I do..DirectX9a installed..latest Detonator drivers, been on for a while now when it first came out 44.03 I believe it is.. improved it greatly..works great..never a problem since I got this game.believe it or not...Now this weird message..Can anyone make head or tails of this...Is this a bug thing..is there a chance it will happen again?..:(

I'd appreciate..any info and reply on this..twas a frustrationg day trying to fix this..now I am a bit worried about what caused it, would like to know..
Thanks..
:)

Well for starters try reducing the amount of RAM to 511 MB or lower. If you're not aware of it there is a glich in Windows 98 and ME OS's that will cause a 'out of memory' error and other bad things.

If you have applied the work around then perhaps it's having problems with the loading of UT 2003.

Try reducing your memory to 512 MB, un-doing the work around. After you sort out the system all should be fine.

There are write ups on the Microsoft site "SD RAM Limitations" You'll have to do a search, but it's there.

I found this out the hard way!!

Thank you so much for the reply and info..I did indeed find that info on the Microsoft site, I did like you suggested..For after saying it was working again, after a clean install, it played, then mid game, I was thrown to the desktop with that same error message came up, three times I have reinstalled the game..It works for awhile then it does it again..once that error message comes up, it will not play again, until I do a reinstall of the game, weird ot what..

Whats really weird I have been playing the game for a long while now, and had no problems till this past 2 weeks..which is weird also..so I am wondering also if its possibly a bug in the 2225 patch..I need to ask Infogames Tech if its possible..Or if anyone knows here knows, twood be good to get more feedback..

But until I know for certain... I went ahead, and said what have I to lose..I have two 256 SD Ram slots and one 128 so I took the 128 Ram out, and left me with 512 MB which should be plenty to play the game..
Did a clean install one more time, and been playing quite a few hours now , no problems, (knock wood)

There were other errors, I've been having for a while now....I learned from that article you sent me to at Microsoft..also, having nothing to do with the game, but I always wondered why that was happening.. the not enough memory to run program, or insuffcient memory available close some programs..etc..I am thinking how is that possible..I have 639 MB of RAM and when I had closed all non essential background programs, and all..Hope this is the thing thats been buggering up everything..

So far Ut2k3 is up and working again, so thanks again..its important to me..
Thank you for the reply...
