Hi all. After patching to 2225, everything seems to work fine, except there is no more sound. Other audio applications still work fine, and the volume levels are fine. Only ut2003 wont play any sound. music/voice/effects... nothing. What can I do to resolve this? From the sounds of things, the other posts about 2225, it seems like a pretty buggy patch. when can we expect a patch for the patch? :)

much appreciated. I wanna get back to playing, but i'm seriously disadvantaged without sound. thanks

Yes, I am having the same issue.
I just installed my Linux version and by default the game had set me up with "software" sound. It was working fine, then I tried to enable Hardware + EAX at that time, however it locked up my OS. I rebooted and tried the game again, worked fine again and I left it on "software" audio.

After applying the patch, apparently the game decided I should have "Hardware +EAX" enabled. I tried others. Hardware, Software, Safe mode, none produce sound.

Edit:

Whoops, forgot system info related.

Check my recent post on this forum. It's because of missing 3rdparty library you have to install to get things going. (libsmpeg-0.4.so.0).
