Well, I've got a problem.

I bought ut2003, install it and started to play.

then, suddenly, the game freezed. no error messages, no nothing.
The computer just stop responding and I had to reset it.

If i try to play the game I can finish a map or two in the SP mode, but eventually it will freeze again...
The problem isn't related to a specific map or event, it seams to strike randomly.

My computer is perfectly good for running the game...

but I suspect that my Radeon 9100 could be the problem. I tryed patching the game, new directX and new drivers for the card, but nothnig seems to work.

I need help. I need it bad!
Please....

p.s: sorry for bad english.

i need more info, man...I may be having the same problem.

Do you have a VIA chipset based motherboard? That seems to be a common problem...I also have a radeon but its a 9700...

i have a qdi platinix2e.

I'm not much of an expert on hardware, so that doesen't tell me ****.

I just hope it tells you something.

anyway- if you have any idea on what might help- please say something.

Well, I found out another "interesting" info.
looks like that my goddamn radeon has problems with all games, based on ut2003 engine. Postal 2, for instance. But it seems to freeze less often that ut does.

****.

It seems that ATI has many problems. I have problems with my granite bay chipset also. Maybe u could try "Fast Writes"--> Off if there is such an option in your gfx card! I got a Radeon9700pro.
Chech also your Power, is it enough ?

I have the exact same problem, and i'm going to go insane. but i'm not using radion.. I have a GForce 4 mmx 440 video card, and i never have problems with it other than this.. it just stops, just like you say.. no certain thing doing it, i even reformatted my computer and it still does it. I run a AMD Athlon XP 2000+ processor.. K7n2g nvidia nforce 2 motherboard.. over 700 meg of ram... i don't understand why it does it, but its not just radeon doing it.
