GeForce FX 5900 vs. ATI Radeon 9800 Pro

Hey... I currently have an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro and it's a great card. I was just thinking about getting a top of the line one though. I just can't really decide between the FX 5900 and the 9800 Pro. Price is no subject, and I would like your personal experience, if you have it. Which one would you recommend and why? I would also like the specs of both cards if available. Thanks!

The basic gist of it is:

Nvidia is the fastest

ATi produces the best image quality

You must decide for yourself which is the most important to you.

I own 5900 ultra - i am very happy with it - About three times faster than my old Ti 4600. Personally the image quality on 5900 looks much better than on my old Ti 4600.


Dunno about ATI 9800 but i am sure it is a great card too.

Yeppo - 5900 is the fastest card at the mo but 9800 makes better image quality.

If you like playing games with healthy FPS, get 5900. If you want to play games with beautiful graphics, get 9800.
