name's not showing up

my name online keeps showing up as the character i choose, even though i've changed my name. being a n00b, i'm sure i've missed something obvious. any ideas?

btw, played uc on xbox for a while, but just built a pc that could play ut2k3. omg. i don't think i could ever go back to uc again.

there's nothing special that you have to do when changing the name, just enter the name and off you go..sounds weird. To be on the safe side select character first then enter name, using standard letters etc.. sorry can't be more help

ohyeah also update to v.2225 if you haven't done so already.. might help

i was using my profile and stats names. i didn't even see that you could change the name of the charcter in the character select screen. :rolleyes:

in uc for xbox, it's your profile that determines your online name. thx for helping.
