Im going to get a new mouse soon the intelli explorer mouse but some weird things are happening with the mouse i have now.
Sometimes the mouse pointer freezes and i cannot move the mouse
pointer at all. When looking at device manager in XP i see that there is no mouse installed.
When i unplug my mouse and put it back in its port i hear a little sound (the sound you hear when XP has found new hardware) and i can move my mouse again. this also happens to my other backup mouse.
In the past week this problem happens about 30 times a night now its really making me mad and sometimes i have to unplug it and plug it in again 4 or 5 times for it to move.
ALSO
I have 4.89gig of mp3s on my hardrive that ive been downloading on 56k for the past 2 to 3 years and i keep them in a folder called My Music.
I set out the folder so its in a list, showing the name, size of each file, date created and bitrate. Everything is fine, but once in a while (NOT ALWAYS) windows changes this folder view to something else like tiles, or thumbnails.
This is extremely annoying, why does windows change the folder views? it should store what i set it as, sometimes the folder views are fine but just recently its been happening more and more frequenly. I ticked the box in settings which says remember my folder views.
i am using widnows xp professional
It seems that windows is forgetting that my mouse is installed and forgetting my folder view settings sometimes.
the main thing is the mouse as it keep freezing and wont move at all. What could be wrong and is there a way i can backup these mouse drivers, i have no disk xp puts them on itself. If the mouse stops working i could reload the mouse drivers but where are they?
