Link Gun Mutator idea

I would like to see the link gun be used more often.
Maybe a mod can be created to promote this and team play as well.

I was thinking of having the link gun to be able to link to other weapons as well(RL,SR, etc). The projectile from this weapon will emit a different color (w/ appropriate damage increase). Maybe something special when linked to a shield gun (increase the shield size/increase the trigger distance for the impact hammer?).

This might be fun to see for team base games.

how about you make the person who's being hit by the link cannon invulnerable while he's linked as well as increasing the dmg of their gun?

throw that in and watch as CTF gets taken over by linkgun flag-runner groups :D

invincible wuld make it too tough in my opinion, how about recharging the sheilds of the flag carrier using the linkgun?

well they'd only be invulnerable while they were linked so you'd have to take out the people linking them instead =3

recharging shields would work too though :p

what if when linked and you use a translocator you take everyone who's linking you with you =D

you could dump a beacon at a key point and quickly get back there as a team if needed ^^

The only problem with that is placing all the others once you port but I'm sure there could be some way of working around it :p

the link gun is my 2nd favorite weapon (next to my minigun) and i like it.
