New To Multiplayer

Oi, Im new to the MP scene. I Load up UT2003 and go to MP/Lan and choose MP. I pick the room where I want to go be it DM, TDM, CTF what-have-you and a black screen appears and it says Im downloading all these different things and it takes friggin 4ever. I let it go for like 45 minutes last night and it was still going. Same thing happens if I go through GSA aswell. Please help. Thnx in advance.

you need to download and install the 2225 patch, the epic bonus pack, and the digital extremes bonus pack.


after that you will still have to download some shorter files when connecting to a server for the 1st few times. they have extra goodies which make the game better

Most of the time the servers are baldy setup.

An admin can redirect the downloads, so that the maps get d/l'ed from a webserver instead of the gameserver - resulting in faster speed.

Most servers are not setup for those redirects :(

We have almost 400 maps on server 1 , AND we have dedicated re-direct!

Try server 1 and see if you still have this problem?
