Hello, I'm sorry if this any of the following questions have already been asked or answered, but ive been browsing and havent found what i need.

What program do you use to skin (if there are multiple programs please tell me what each of them do)?

What are some good tutorials for skinning (tutorials or links to good informative steps on skinning)?

Im a very beginner, havent even started... but I want to learn how to skin.... is it really hard?

Thanks-vaiosc

www.3dbuzz.com

Seriously, for your 2d, 3d and unreal editing related tutorials, tips and "noob friendly" lessons, it cant be beat (and I'm not even being paid to say so :))

For the standard-models you can use Upaint (it's on the 3rd cd).
It even has a bunch of photos which you can use as alternate faces.

Just make sure you've installed the patch for Upaint first (link should be in the topic at the top of this section).

It does require a fast computer to be any good though and most skinners use it as a 3D preview, because the paint-tools are rather limited.
