Ok this is the config out of the db stats I don't have any info on what about about to paste but if some one could full it out with fake stuff I think I can go from that

<?php

require("statsdb.inc.php"); // Set to the location of your account settings file

$logpath = "./Logs/"; // Set to the path of your log files
$backupdir = ""; // Set to path to backup good log files to (no backup if empty)

$ftpserver = ""; // Set to your ftp server and path
// Note: Files are downloaded into your $logpath directory
// Include ':##' on the end of the server name to include port number

// Use 'ftps://' for ssl-ftp
// Examples: $ftpserver = "ftp://server.com"
// $ftpserver = "ftp://server.com/ut2003/System/UserLogs"
// $ftpserver = "ftp://server.com:2021/ut2003/System/UserLogs"

You should post questions about it at the StatsDB forums:
http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=222935
People tend to be pretty helpful with it there.

Anyway, since I found your post here...
it doesn't sound like your statsdb.inc.php settings are correct. Check that file and make sure your database settings are correct. Also try connecting manually with the MySQL client to verify that the same settings do in fact work.
