Hello people,

I've got a BIG problem with a Linux dedicated Server...

I set it up an everything goes right... I can join a game and everything...

BUT
when I play a game on it i noticed that the enviroment is too fast... I don't speak about the Gamespeed, because it's only the enviroment who goes fast...

For example:

The damage amplifier only dures half the time...
You can shoot faster
The lifts goes faster...

But the players move at normal game speed...

So what is here the problem?

Ich checked a few times my INI, but theres nothing wrong in there...

Perhaps the server hardware is too good? Because I've got two P4 CPUs....

Thx for ya help!

Yeah, you wish! ;)

What distribution and kernel are you running?
Have you messed with the HZ definition to "improve" performance?

I'm running Suse 8.2 with the Linux 2.4 Kernel ;-)

I don't know what you mean with HZ definition? Can you explain me that?:)

If you don't know what I mean then you haven't messed with it and you shouldn't... It is a hack to improve the resolution of certain timing functions in the Linux kernel.

Have you diffed your .ini against the default .ini?

I use the Default.ini without making any changes...

I only use another Port instead, but i don't think that that can change anything....

No, that shouldn't affect server speed. I haven't run UT2k3 on SMP in a while but I don't remember any problem with it.

Sorry I can't be of more help.
