Anyone know how to make a mesh fade to disappear?
Basically, I have an xEmitter which spawns a player-model mesh every few seconds, which I then want to fade away. I tried to do this by making it transparent (which doesnt seem to work :S) and then turning the brightness down using a timer. This don't work, it just disappears after the max lifetime is reached (which is longer than the fading out time).
Anyone got any ideas on where I can go from there?
