I'm having a very unusual problem with my multiplayer LAN. First off, we're running the game very well on two G4s. The problem: One computer will host with no problem, but the problem occurs when the other computer joins the game. It starts to load the level, enters the game, then exits the game, and finishes loading the level. In the end, both computers have the level loaded, but only the host can play. The joining computer is no longer connected and thus can't play. Some levels load properly with both computers connected, but others exhibit this problem. Has anyone had this happen to the also, and what can be done about it? Thanks!

I have had this EXACT same problem!! I can not tell you how mad I get trying to fix it....I have tried everything! Like you said, some sceans work, Citadel works...but I can't find anything else that does. What have you tried changing??

same problem here. occasionally we've been able to quit out of UT and restart. on the first try the map will load and everyone can play. after that it's back to spectator. it's not consistent and doesn't work everytime. it generally happens on the larger maps. we can play them in single player, but once we try in multiplayer we end up back in spectator mode... except the person that's hosting.

I just replied to another thread about this. MacSoft Tech Support acknowledged the problem and suggested a work-around. Unfortunately, that didn't work for me, but maybe you'll have more luck. Take a look in this thread. (http://www.ina-community.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=306358)

The only workaround I have found that works is to install an unpatched install of the server on the Windows platform. All the clients can be patched and they will connect just fine. But the server itself can only be the basic install from the cd, with no updates.

Hope this helps....and I hope they fix it. ;)
