I have been experiencing some audio glitches when I play UT2003. Audio is fine with only a few clicks and pops now and then, until I try to demorec a match. As soon as I activate the recording the audio quality bottoms out. The bass response goes through the roof. Huge booms and hollow sound. No matter what I try in terms of audio card settings or drivers fixes these problems. I have tried every driver I can find, all to no avail. My card works perfectly in all other applications except this one game. My current system specs are:

Windows XP Home
P4 2.4 GHz
Asus P4S533 Mobo
512MB DDR RAM (PC 2700)
GeForce4 Ti 4200 64MB
SoundBlaster Audigy Gamer
80 GB HDD - Western Digital
16X DVD drive - Lite-On

Any help you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated.

I have no idea what could cause this and can't reproduce it here. Anyone else having the same problem?

Sorry,

Thank you for looking into it Daniel. I will continue to experiment with my settings. Hopefully, I will stumble across a workable fix. I will post here if I find out anything new. I appreciate you taking the time to check it out.

well if you use the newest patch take the original DefOpenAL32.dll .. I did never hear of the exact error you described with the new one, but in genereal it is known as extremely buggy with the audigy1 cards... I'm extremely unsure why the last 3 versions of this file were Audigy1 incompatible, but could you probably tell them Mr. Vogel? I think they would believe you more than me... If you do not know what I mean start the game and turn on Hardware Eax with v2225 and an Audigy1 .... I know it's not epics fault but they're a big company and creative would listen to them more than to me i think *g*

I can see where that would be a problem.
