ok y would they .tar.tar it twice?
How can i extract it and install it? i have tried tar zxvpf ut2k3filename.tar.tar and it wont work. how can i get it to work properly?


oh btw i am talking about the UT2k3 2225 linux install.

That is because Windows has serious braindamage when it comes to filenames...

The file is actually a "tar.bz2" and you should use "tar -xjf" to unpack it.

ok - i was in the same situation.. but i had managed to untar the files before I read this post....

my problem is now that I've untared the files... what now? there are no installation instructions. Could someone lend a hand please.
