Hey, guys. I really understand your point of view and I would be really happy if we, the UT2k3 players, could have our own OT forum. There's so much I would like to discuss with other UT2k3 players, with them only.
BUT, this is the beginner's discussion. DON'T SPAM IT to get what you want, DON'T MISUSE IT to make Pez & Co. realize the advantages of having one.
If they don't care about this necessity, then there's no sense in forcing it.
You have your general discussion forum. Don't (mis)use this forum. It's really helpful and we need it. Well, I need it. And it's annoying to select the threads.
Please, STOP POSTING NONSENSE THREADS! I'd really appriate it. Just be that friendly, okay?
In my humble opinion I think we are just somewhat like "stepchildren" for Pez & Co. They don't really care about us. So we should just be happy with what we have. Hey, we have at least the possibilty to discuss about UT2k3.

if you go to the General discussion and post begginner stuff there im sure poepl will understand :) but untill we get an ot forum then we will use this sucker as one. once again im sorry.
EDIT Actually now that i think about it, General Discussion would be better bye.

I don't think so :). The general discussion is totally different. I've seen ppl here posting the same question for the x-times without searching old threads, and they still get a decent answer. Maybe they would be flamed in the general discussion. There's a (n00b-)friendly atmosphere here.
Besides, I dun think ppl in the general discussion care to answer simple/"stupid" newbie ques.

I agree with bbl on the matter, because this place is a friendly place for new people to the forums to ask questions without an ego type mantality that you have over at General Discussion.
I have an ego myself, basically it comes with time, and when you start to feel at ease with the forum. I am far from a newb when it comes to playing this game, but I am however new to a forum type atmosphere, which at first I felt a little overwelmed by the forum vet's, so it took me time to come out in the open, and feel at ease with the veteran inar's. So what i'm saying is that this place is a perfect place to start out, and feel at ease if your new to ina, for you can start to interact with the community over time, because we all were newbs at one time,or another, so this place should be left alone.
Don't get me wrong, I wan't an OT discussion just as much as the next person, and I think it is unfair that Pezman gave the M003 people an OT place, and not us, even though more people post here. I am just wanting this place to be left alone for more people can feel free to get their feet wet here at ina, without being scared off.

ya it is a great place for ppl to start out at
this used to be the only forum i would ever go to here, i was scared of the general discussion
but having seen it sink so much (the same thread stays on the top for weeks and weeks) the only reason i ever come here is because i am not smart enough to do anything when people post in the general discussion about their uscript problems, so i come here and am able to actually help people

well how long do you all plan on being beginners
anyway how is a whole forum full of beginners ever supposed to get their questions answered because if you are all beginners then none of you know the answer:haha:

But if WE, the ones who have more experience with the game, visit this forum "full of newbies" we can give them the answer!
And thus this is a forum full of beginners, everyone who comes in here expects newbish questions, and therefore doesn't flame the ppl who are just asking questions new to them just because it is sooooo boring old for you!

Why did Pezman give the M003 people an OT place, and not us? What have they done what we haven't?
HEY PEZMAN! If you give us an OT forum, I'll sleep with you. I'm a virgin, wanna try me out?

The reason (not a very good one, but it's the 'official' Pez statement) is that the MOO3 forums were imported form some other forums that had OT :sour:

Look at the spamming and whining here about "wanting" an OT section.
Now imagine what will happen if you TAKE AWAY it from someone.
 :weird:

100% behind you. without the more advanced players this forum woudl be nothing. beginners would be asking questions that nobody can answer becasue they would all be noobs. my point this there wouldnt be a reason for a beginner forum.

Well I wouldn't say that I'm a noob either. 1 year ago I was like the rest of us playing UT forever and waiting for UT2K3 to be released. I have never seen much of a point to any forum until a few weeks ago, so I'm new to them. I may be wrong in thinking this but... if noobs didn't post questions that have already been asked before, what would be the point of haveing a noob forum? You would quickly run out of topics for conversation wouldn't you.
