I see that the source for the new combo's and the Mutant & Invasion-gametypes were included too.

This seems an appropriate place to mention that the patch itself still seems to be lacking a change-list.

Hello:
I downloaded both files but don't know what they are for. Do I put them in the System files?
Would they fix a problem like this:
I play invasion, often setting up my own non-dedicated server. Since the last patch 2225 I can longer set the timer. I can set the timer but it does not work as when you press f2 during gaming it is not on. I used to set the timer for each map for 30 minutes and set time on the waves accordingly.
I have unistalled UT 3 times, defragged, then clean reinstalled and can't fix the problem. Last time I checked to see if timer would work before I put the 2225 patch on.No, it did'nt. On the forums the few replies I received told me the invasion game has changed and that the object is to see haow far you can go? Go before you get Killed just to leave that map...I went up to 40 and turned the game off. If this was so , you could never win unless you could set the timer by waves.

Those files don't change anything about the game. They solely provide extra services and information for mod makers.

Thanks, but what I was hoping for was a complete list of all changes made since the beginning to be distributed with the patch itself where it would be most convenient. I believe this is common practice when releasing patches and I would like to see it done for UT2003 too.
What would be even nicer is if there was an even more comprehensive list distributed with the source, detailing as many changes to the code as it is practical to write down.

Yeah sure that would be the best IMO ;)
The first thing I always try to find is a changelist, but the one in the forums was the only list I found so far ;)
Maybe I should sit down and write together all changelists of all patches - but hey I'm not working for Epic so .... :p

I haven't unpacked these source files, but the last time I tried, it created it whole new unique directory system with these source files.
So I basically had to copy and paste everything by hand. I would unpack them in the proper parent directory if it didn't look different from the setup I had. (my directory setup is basically using UnrealED's source exporter the first time I got UT 2003).
Now...can I simply download and install the game patch...and then use UnrealED's source exporter to get the same results? Or will I still be missing files (because I'm assuming that's the reason why Epic releases these source updates rather than ask all coders to export the source stuff).
Keep in mind that I'm a newb to this... :P
I want to update since I heard it has "better physics" or something like that. I don't know what is meant by that, but hopefully it will allow my character to run through loop de loops! :)

The directory setup is exactly the same as you get with the UnrealED.
Just unzip the files and copy & paste the content to your UT2003 folder, or even better extract the zip directly into your UT2003 folder.
Works fine here

You have all the Begin..End code added in the defaultproperties. Important if you want to understand how create interface, menu, tab etc..

I know no one has posted here forever....I'm just curious....
Are we ever going to see a WORKING version of UDebugger for v2225 and following patches??

Is the content of the source code the same as if I uncompiled through Unrealed??or are their extra files there too, as I have been having problems with recompiling u.scripts usind ucc and UMake.

You should NEVER EVER recompile the existing UT2003 source code, it's only there for reference. Reinstall the game if you want to play online again.
The exported sources actually are different from the ones you can download, because some parts in the default properties are missing.

Now that I have Ut2004 installed, should I use the above source code for all my modding/mutating? Or should I wait for a UT2004 source doe to be released?
SOrry for the nub question, I've only been coding for 2 weeks.

Of course you should NOT use the UT2003 code as a reference for UT2004 coding.
Extract them via UnrealEd as described on UnrealWiki: UnrealScript Source (http://wiki.beyondunreal.com/wiki/UnrealScript_Source) under "Other Unreal Engine Games".
