How big of a role do you thinkl strategy play in GOW?

I think it will play a big role in GOW, atleast it should with the emphasis on cover and such.

A big part since if you run out in the middle of the level then you'll die in seconds

Well, one strategy to eliminate your enemy is to evade from cover to cover and get a better angle on your target. Also nades is a good way to get a clear shot on your enemy since they will react and try to run away from it.

Shooting a Locust in the legs will slow it down and make it fall to the ground for a few seconds.

Developers, do you guys use Head First Design in your coding? Who's the Technical Lead on this project! I wanna talk to someone who can confuse me. :)

I would be suprised if there wasn't. It's a tactical shooter game, voicechat is an expectation.

I hope there it is going to depend on that. i don't personally want another type of halo, till Halo 3 anyways :p. I hope also that there will be some decent clan functions on there.

i would hope the voice chat would be similar to that of Halo's. Maybe instead of holding down a button to talk to everyone on your team, you hold down a button to allow people near you to hear you.

You might run into the eventuall clan that all they want to do is run up to you and chainsaw you. But if your team sticks to there tatics they should murder the run and gun team.

Cliffy said, that by far, the cover system is the most important part of a game. This isnt Halo where you can take a clip from a rifle. You need to learn to cover and be patient to lure your enemies into traps. Typing this makes Gears look more like an RTS lol.

A game that requires strategy would be very nice. It would keep us busy for awhile.

In one of the levels I saw a part with a lot of cars that you could take cover behind.

I cant imagine it taking none when you need that much cover. also in a article on i think gamespot they said you had to stick with your team and stuff:D

strategy HAS BEEN USED in lots of videos, like one video where Dom starts firing on a Locust, and then Marcus runs around the side of the field and flank-chainsaws him. Ooh, ow, no, no, yeah, no, ouch, didn't think the drone had that much guts, oh wait, it's still going, no, yeah, no, yeah, no, ok he's stopped...

Stategy is in the game, in multiplayer, people wont be able to just run around and chainsaw without getting killed, they will make it hard to chainsaw someone without getting shot.
