Ok, this map started off just as an experiment. I never intended to actually make it a playable map or release it. But after creating a few things here and there it started to take shape and became a playable and I am fairly happy with how it is in its current state, but it isn't finished... I need your help before I complete it.

Now, I want opinions on if I should make this DM, CTF, or BR. If it was to be a CTF map I would place each flag right under the sitting statue and have all spawn points on the mid level floor. If it were to be BR I would place the ball on the highest level right in the center and have the bases with spawn points on the lowest level. I may even create pathways to other rooms if its BR.

As I said, this map isn't complete and as it is there is only one spawn point, no weapons, no bot pathing, and a few places I have to brighten up. It is also NOT optimized at all yet, so there may be jerkiness, though there wasn't for me. I just want your opinion on what type of map I should create. Thanks

Thanks for the comments. Now that I think about it I could make a version of each. I was thinking more CTF or BR though since the map is symmetrical. I will create a version of DM, CTF, and BR.

Change Skybox aswell.....(More Sunny, Egyptian feel).

I really like that skybox though, but I will take a look at different ones... I just thought that one fit the theme.

CTF or BR definitly!! (DM as bonus and why not ddom?)
good work!

Some comments based on the screenies:
-Skybox: how about the dawn skybox?...it might add some colour to it and highlight the feel (if u dont like the sunny one :D )+ maybe some torches to make it cozier??!
And also...ehrm actually i only had that comment on second thought...for now! :D

Keep up the good work!

[InfernoO]
...thinks UT2k3 has to MANY DM maps and too FEW good CTF & BR maps! :bulb:

Thanks all, the maps should be done in at least two weeks (no pun intended). ;)

I will release all versions at once. I have to learn how to create DB and CTF maps now... I only ever made DM maps, but I already know how the layout will be for each. I may create a DDOM map later on, I know basically nothing about DDOM right now.

I am going to beef up the detail and lighting also, and I'll look at other skyboxes (but I do like the current one).

Thanks to everyone who took a look at it.

Enigmabyte,

Your map has a lot of potential to be a great CTF/DOM map. Here's my feedback... you could use some jump pads to get up to the top level. The lighting on the endstairs by the statues could use a little work (a little too dark/no contrast). Maybe add a little fog/more atmosphere. Those jumpads on the bottom level look almost like weapon pickup points. The framerates on the top tier are consistent, but a little low especially if that is going to be the direct route from flag to flag. I really like what've you done so far. looking forward to a beta release to test. keep up the great work...

Enigmabyte,

This is looking great.

Take your time with this one. I'm hoping this will be one of the ones to stay on my HD.

Great job so far.
