New ownage (http://www.planetunreal.com/cliffyb):

Ed Duke-Cox has done it AGAIN!

Can anyone stop the man? He's out of CONTROL! Every map is better than the last. AnimaExMachina is a solid Bombing Run map; not too big, not too small, it delivers a visual punch without compromising gameplay.

Ed's lighting is a bit better - Ed used illumination crystals to create some nice hotspots in the caves around the main play area. The beams in each base are a nice touch too!

I still think the lighting could use a bit of work in the interior areas. The map is still a bit "muddy" looking and could use more hotspots on the interior. Perhaps less saturation on some of the lights?

I digress! So, what are you waiting for? Get your cracker ass going and go download the thing already!

Excellent Map. Great performance and excellent gameplay. One of the top user BR maps I've played. I couldn't play Ed's first ownage map CTF-Unearthed cause it had a pausing issue on my machine. This one absolutely rocks.

Doh! Ed Cox didn't do CTF-Unearthed. He did DOM-MayanRuins which also owns. Sorry Ed. Great BR Map, thanks again!

I actually play BR now thanks to this map.

I still wish Ed would listen to his testers more... lots of things he didn't fix. :(
oh well, he fixed the major stuff.

Its still great!

I am surprised there aren't more replies to this thread.
This map is great and should be enjoyed.

Those who haven't downloaded should do it now!

This is the best BR map released to date it really is Ownage everybody should DL this bit of joy.
Cliffy should open an Ownage server with normal weapons so all can enjoy

Being a hardcore bombingrun player, I downloaded this a few days ago the moment it's released, and played it. It's fun for a while. The map sorta reminds me of ctf-terra valley because of the landscape style and architecture, but I felt some parts of the map looks werid; The sci-fi looking corridors and the ballroom just doesn't blend together with the rest of the map, especially since the base interior looks like natural terrain map.
I'll probably draw flaks my way if I compare this map to disclosure, but the way Anima Ex Machina handle the chokepoints especially the base, is similar to that map, just that AEM have lesser layout to offer, and the action's more passive because the placements of powerups differ. The layout is average, dispite having that terra influence. 3 linear paths towards the base with a cross junction, that's ok, but the two sidepaths are identical and that's bad for any teambase map in my book. Why not do something different to the 3rd path? Maybe a high risk zone to a redeemer? There's nothing in this map's layout that'll offer more interesting online play.
The map was fun, but the experience will be more thrilling as a ctf map than bombingrun.
