no its too long to be a snub pistol, i think it is a knife, and i hope its not just for show to make him look more bad ass, i hope they really have a knife in the game, not just a standard plain knife, but a knife so bad ass that even marcus would say "wow that F***** tight!"

Ya, that's dom.. It could be his flashlight from the demo where he checks marcus's vision, but I don't know.

NO! i zoomed in on it and it is a knife, well it is the same thing that gus has on his leg, i studied them for several minutes and i am pretty sure they both are the same KNIFE!:D

this is proof that GoW will have some type of combat knife!

NOW IF ONLY SOMEONE FROM EPIC WILL CONFIRM IT FOR US;)

Wow, I looked at the think on Dom's chest upside down, I totally missed it. Can't wait to use it if it's in the game. Looks like a huge knife, would really be awesome.

Someone explain how this knife theory would work. In every demo ive watched you get 2 heavy weapons, grenades, and a pistol. This means that you would clearly have to pick up and knife and replace a current weapon. And that would mean that they would have to spawn knives on the multiplayer maps which just sounds stupid. I, unlike a lot of people here would rather not see knives in GoW and im pretty sure that there wont be. I mean come on.....we get a chainsaw...and you guys want knives... ill take my chainsaw over a knife any day. One more thing, i really hope that they dont put to many more instant kill melee attacks in this game because we all know were just gonna have people charging other people like freakin kamikazes waivin threre chainsaws around like a Texas massacre.

after some thought i think the knife is just for show and the chainsaw is the primary melee weapon, but you never know........maybe its a super strong plasma/lightsaber/"imulsion"(lol) knife!

Its probly just for show. Most games have there characters pimped out with stuff on them they cant use.

But if it is, they should use total control with the knife. Just like Fight Night did with punching.

That would make the game 10x more badass.

I would prefer a knife to a chainsaw. Just because the stealth factor. If you hear a chainsaw near you, the smart thing to do is just run. A knife is a lot harder to hear.

Yeah if it was me in a fight i would choose the chainsaw, hands down. But i like to mainly play a game for fun, so a knife would be a very nice change.

Lol that would b amusing! I reckon you might lose your weapons (say if a raven u were in was shot down) and u'll hav to defend urself with a knife & diving from cover to cover......just a thought :) !

well im am 99% sure its not a pistol b/c pistols are not that shape, but i could be wrong, but probably not, it looks alot like a combat knife, and look how it is placed on Dom's shoulder, easy access for a knife!

well, maybe it looks cool, and u get extra points for dieing with honor (acheivement= die 1000 times with honor:D) lol who knows, the animation for that would be sweet, but im glad that he told us that they are knifes, and by him saying that he cant tell us how they are used tells me that they are used in a cool unique way, ill say it again i can't wait to shank a locust!

I'd have thought the chain-saw was the big WOW (which it is) and that' s been shown off to death so why the secrecy on the knife? perhaps it's a design item not a functional item

(a few weeks ago a man had to stab a bull mastiff dog 20 times to stop it ...prepare for one long animation) okay comparisons to reality unessecary but I just don't think a Knife would work in any convincing way given the sheer Hench of the Locust?

slow down bucko, lol, im just throwing out ideas, and the way the Adim said it makes me think the knife will be used for something cool, and who is to say that the knife isnt some super powerful (like a lightsaber:D lol) knife that can rip through locust flesh, or maybe its a last resort type of weapon that has lil story behind it, and maybe its good to use agaisnt the lil Wrench locusts or maybe its not ment for the locusts at all maybe the COGs use it to put themesleves out of there own misery(lol read my ealier post, haha) or it could be just for show........lol who knows i guess we just have to wait

I think an attack with no weapons (pure strength) would be sweet. Like a tackle or something (Maybe you use your knife when your tackled to re-create that scene from Saving Private Ryan? :) That would rule

The scene he is talking about, is when the German and US solider are grappling on the floor with the knife.
But a physical attack would be nice, i still like they idea of just a slap in the mouth. It seems more badass than a tackle.

I was looking at the background I have which is the picuture in the link and I noticed on the black dudes calf.. I forgot his name... there is what appears to be a knife. Check out the picture and tell me what you think.

This could open up a whole new bag of tricks. A knive could be a very interesting weapon.

Ok first of all his name is Cole. And second that knife has been there since launch it's always been strapped to his foot same with one of the locust to his thigh.
