Again, This map is not by me but from a mapper from Unrealplayground site!.
His name isn't shown over there either but it's in the readme.

This map is Great and Plays Great.
It has the same setting as ElectricFields but a DM map instead.

I Highly recommend.

Me 2.

This map has a great sense of danger from all the Catwalks and such and requires good Direction skills. Bots play great aswell.

it'd be badass with rain but its bad ass right now and it needs ownage from cliffy. This map makes me like ut2003.

I think it looks cool, but I hate it. There's absolutely no room to dodge. You either rush head-on, jump down to (hopefully) a lower level, or else hang back and snipe.
This is just a personal preference, but I need a map that has at least one area to move around in without having to watch where I'm stepping. I guess that where the name came from, though.

It's FINAL version!.

And yeah, playing this more....It OWNS.

There is plenty of room for manouvering and stuff in the main/central area, but the walkways are where u have to be carefull.

This is an awesome map, its visually stunning and alot of work was put into it. Plays and looks great, well done to the author LDC :D

This map owns! I feel right at home on this map! I love dangerous maps.. But the bots fall to much.. Even if they don't get shot they misstep..

Just so you know.... it wasn't made by unrealplayground, it was made by a member of [SC] going by the name of LDC, (LondonsDarkestChild) It's his first map for ut2003 afaik and I enjoyed helping him beta test it. It is the official release and it's been submitted to CliffyB. (when your ready fella ;) )

N1 LDC excellent map imo.

This map is AMAZING!!!

I can't believe its his first map!!

It is an incredible map to play. It looks fantastic too. I really hope Cliffy B gives this ownage, it deserves it IMO.

If you don't download this map you must be crazy!!

This is pure ownage. Although the map demands a rather larger than average number of players its construction and design is a pure masterpiece. Framerates are also very good.

A prime time example of what can be achieved with the latest build of the Unreal engine.

Enuff said, if you havent downloaded it already you better do it now. You will be missing it.

Really cool map, the atmosphere is great.
The skybox and the meshes go together VERY well.
Its just like some ultra floating structure, and it just looks very cool, almost too cool to describe :)
The music on this one is great too, I really dig it. Its kinda like some dramatic and intense music to get your adrenaline running, while still not sounding like a crappy techno song, great choice.
The only thing I would fix, is the lense flare that is supposed to be the sun flare, because when you jump off the side of the map, you can clearly see it just floating there. But it looks fine from anywhere else.
Also, FPS drops like mad when I look at the whole map at once, but theres not much you can do for optimizing since all the walkways have translucent gratings.

First off very nice map. nice enough to put on my server:cool:
Second Cliffy wont give it ownage because its using Epic's unreleased(officialy) skybox and statics.
The only thing i think that would make it better is if there was so way to quickly go from the bottom to the top.

And ratman, those skyboxes ship with the full game, as do the meshes.

Question for mapper (LDC):

How many BSP polys are you using in total? I wanted to make an SM-only map, but I think it will require a lot of work in occluding, to keep the framerate up.

Well BSP doesn`t occlude automatically anymore anyway so its swings and roundabouts - except Statics will render a whole lot faster and require less memory/performance overheads.

the map is nice... Though like many free form maps it is hard to keep tight to gameplay... in some spots like the extending bridges... that kinda makes it dull walking down like that.

If you are good... you can double dodge jump and get from each side bridge when going down this helps...

but going up is the bad point I think.

Except for that this map is has a very intresting use of the static meshes that came packaged in the game :) it really looks awesome! the background is also nice though the textuer looks blured in some places... (having jagged edges in it) but even though it gives a nice touch to the whole thing... really nice!

I almost want this map to have a few random ships flying quickly from the edges of the horizen going past near the structure zoom!!! it would really scare the hell out of you and maybe even give a scale of how much in danger you trully are :)

Ownage... I like it :) plays decent the theme is cool and looks clean... so owange? I think I would becuase it is so different and cool.

awesome map - definitely on my server. I noticed that when standing in the very peak (in the radio tower) there seemed to be a pedstal floating waaay above my head - in flyby nmode i went up to check it out and found it to be a mini-skybox - no larger the my character. odd quirk. This would also be a good map for a ion or deemer.

Put two flags in here and you'd have one of the best low-grav instagib maps around. Truly excellent!

Would you consider a CTF version or allow someone to add the flags, move the spawn points, and produce one?

Probably the most visually impressive level I have played for UT2003. Sort of reminds me of the big mechanical spider in that movie "wild wild west".

The only problems I can see is that the level runs a little slow, and I don't like deathmatch levels where you can fall to your death, but thats just a personal opinion.
