If I posted in a thread and asked for further information, you posted it and I never responded, it is because I don't keep track of these things and mostly only read the first page on the forums. In this case please send me an email with the URL of the thread.

If you think it is really important that I post in a thread and the topic hasn't been covered to death previously and is not gameplay related please private message me an URL of the thread once it is older than two days (chances are I'll notice it myself). If I don't answer it's mostly because it's either in the FAQ or the README or off topic or because I don't have time so please only request an answer once.

I get a lot of emails like "the game doesn't run at all or crashes a lot" which usually means either something went wrong during the installation process (try reinstalling) or your machine is not stable in which case you might want to check out the lockup FAQ. In any cases, that's a typical scenario where you want to bug Atari tech support and not me.

Please don't email me otherwise as I already get enough email as it is :)

Thanks,

-- Daniel, Epic Games Inc.

I don't know what a "Intel(r) 82810E Graphics COntroller" is but is sounds pretty Generic

You need a decent graphics card for this game m8 ;)

On most Motherboards with a built in GFX crad you can disable that and install a PCI GFX card.

But without an AGP slot it's pretty pointless IMO.

So if I were you I would go out and get myself another MB.

You should be able to pick up an i815E or something similar pretty cheap and with that you can still use your RAM+CPU allthough I would seriously reccomend you to upgrade those to.

Before you do post about any problem, make sure you read the stickies to see if your problem already has a solution. And before you post please check out this link-- http://www.ina-support.com Specifically check out the FAQ for UT2003, most problems posted here are solved by the FAQ, please take your time and read it before posting.

If you cannot find a solution to your problem read this advice about troubleshooting posting======>

Instead of bumping to get your post read. POST ALL TROUBLESHOOTING/TECHNICAL PROBLEMS in the GENERAL DISCUSSION BOARD. You will get many more views/replies/and will solve your problem much faster than if you post on this board where much fewer people visit. Note that when posting your problem it is a good idea to include your system specs/OS/and if you have all the updates for drivers/OS; also, make sure that you give a clear, detailed description of exactly what the problem is.

Sorry but its the truth, I dont think many people come to these forums just to help others troubleshoot.

For computer lock-up problems, here is a good link to a guide that is already stickied: http://unreal.epicgames.com/lockup.txt

P.S. Don't forget about the search button in the upper left, although it is no google, it will usually find posts that might deal with your problem. Also, there is a link to email infogrames tech support on the http://www.ina-support.com website if you wish to contact them.

You should be able to disable the video card in the MOBO bios, and then install a new card. You will need to determine if you have an available AGP, or PCI slot available before doing this. Seeing as the system is only 900Mhz, you shouldn't plan on dropping a lot of $$$ on a vid card, unless it's going to be AGP, AND you plan on upgrading the rest of the system (PROC, MOBO, RAM, ETC.) in the near future. Otherwise it's a waste of money.

In fact, given the cost of quality components these days, you might be better off to take it in the wallet for now, and simply buy/build a new system. It's truly amazing what you can build for $1500 these days, especially if you don't mind recycling some of your existing components (CD-ROM, HD, SOUND, KB/Mouse, Monitor).

Sorry to disappoint you buddy but my Geforce 4 MX 440 runs UT2003 up to 2 times faster than my old Geforce 2 and it is also performing way better than my mates Geforce 3 but it only runs at half the pace of my brothers Geforce 4 ti 4200.

My spec:
-WinMe
-Intel Celron ~902
-128MB RAM
-Intel 82810E graphics controller
-56k

well for a start, those are rubbish specs for ut2003. they might be alright for ut1 but in ut2003, there are more polygons in a door than there is in a ut1 scene. really, 256mb ram is the bare minimum for it, and a geforce2 ti followed by a pentium 4 or AMD athlon 1.2ghz would actually get you somewhere, but im suprised your specs can even run ut2003

for a couple hundred, you could seriously increase that comp's usefulness

look at my specs D|R|E|A|D|D and learn ^^. and how could you have a pentium 3 and a pentium celeron at the same time on that rusty board ?!
