I was just wondering if any one had a full or partial list of weapons and what they do in Gears Of War.

My favourite weapon ive seen so far would be the grenade on a chain.

They have only shown around 3 weapons, the machine gun with the chain saw, the pistol, and the grenades. If you know more, please post them

Shotgun too, of course.

In his speeches and writing Cliff Bleszinski has repeatedly come out against the 'FOURTEEN BONE WRENCHING WEAPONS' deal; I imagine the basics and maybe all of their locust variants (plus a few imaginative weapons, in the old Unreal fashion) will be it.

I completely forgot about the shotgun, but 14 weapons is a good amount to have. Not too large, not too small

i think we should keep bone wrenching in mind when we hear the weapons, because the ones weve been shown look sick

Dude have you all seen the four lasers that become one on the E3 06 trailer. Well in one of his interviews (maybe June's OXM) he said that is a weapon in the game that involves strategy. In co-op if two each of your lasers meet than they become one and wont move unless you both are pointing in the same direction. BOMB!

So far the known weapons are:
Lancer Rifle
Shotgun
Torque Bow
Hammer of Dawn (not sure if this is the right name)
Bolo Grenades
Pistol

So we still don't know8 of the weapons. Cool.

Ahhhhhhhhhh, this game owns! It's basically perfect.

Weapons seen already = sick.

Weapons to be seen = I'm sure will be even more sick.

I'm really looking forward to the Hammer of Dawn. I'd like to check out that bow too. Great selection of weapons thus far.

Nah, its actually a almost airstrike lazer that you can control that has a mini-game thing you can do in co-op or with the IA in single player. In the E3 06 trailer its the thing you see when she says something about humanity destroying itselft. The four lazers that become one. That is gonna be crazy to use! :)

oh yeah,
i remember that in the trailer,
the building got blown up.

The person doing the vocies in the trailer is creepy

the torque bow sounds really cool. apparently it's like a crossbow with explosive arrows. i heard CliffyB or someone said that you can shoot a locust in the head, see him duck back down behind his cover, and then see the small explosion with blood and flesh spurt up, THAT sounds cool!! if there are 14 weapons in this game, thats really cool, i thought there'd be 8 at the most. i'm also curious about the vehicles, wonder when those'll be revieled.

true. i wish i had written down what i thought gears 2 was going to be like.

it totally blew me away when it came out.
