I know it's kinda off topic but this forum has some of the most knowledgeable people I know... online ne way lol. I once heard somewhere that a monitor with more than like 1000x700 resolution has HD. Is that true? and if I hook up my 360 to it will I get an HD output?

Any suggestions for converters? I saw a few for like 70 bucks. I would, of course prefer somen cheap but I also need it to have audio out for my surround sound.

I have your basic Sony sourround sound setup to match my sony hdtv. They were in a combo deal, but they get the job done.

np, lemme know tho if anyone happens to find a good composite to VGA converter. Dragon, I have a ViewSonic P810, that should work right?

Errr i thought a monitor with 1280x720 is the starting of HD cuz thats actually 720p (and 1280x900 and 1280x1024 are also 720) and then i think it was 1920x something is 1080i but that im not sure. And you need an anolg cable sold for $40 to hook your 360 up to a monitor... thats what im doing ^_^

Alright, so what you need is a monitor that supports atleast 1280x720 (which is 720p) a better monitor is 1920x1080 which is 1080p, but yea like the person before me said you also need the VGA cable.

Can you get me a link to one of the cables? all i've seen is the boxes and that would really help
