Though there are similarities, i wouldn't say theyre almost exact copies. Plus this look has been seen in couintless sci-fi films and shows so its kinda impossible not to see a resemblence. Its like the blues before the classic rock scene. Almost every 70's guitar player basicly took parts from musicians such as BB King, but the didn't play the same way (or with the same styles) :)

I don't see it either. The first ones look like the borg to me, the gears ones have an almost animal like face.

I noticed the ones with the helmets when I first saw them. FF: The Spirits Within was an awesome movie for me because, at the time, I wanted to go into 3D animation.

It's amazing how far games have come. There are some Gears Of War screens that come awfully close to the FF movie.

Yea, Killzone also has some similar looking helmets with lit up eyes.

It's a cool effect and I think it may not be totally original but I like Epic's take on it.

I like the look plus Gears will be better than Killzone in every way possible.Plus it's just the look of the character it's the story and personality that I think the big difference is and by the sounds of what Cliffy has been saying the story is going to be very well written and the characters wil be well developed.

It was suppost to be the game that took down Halo 2, but there was many complains about the game, and i didnt have the awesome mp that halo 2 had.

If a game is too original it will suck :), and killzone was a crappy game, it was just something to show my PS2 had a little muscle under all of that fluff! :) JK no harm meant

My friend thought that once aswell (he hates GOW) shame on him lol,
but he sent me a link of one of the FF guys and well THEY LOOK NOTHING ALIKE!

I even watched the movie myself,
and i can honselty say the only way they look similar is because they are wearing armoury clothing and have lit up eyes in there helmets
